Captured aplication from XPMode in Windows 7 and tried to install in Windows XP guest in Hyper-v in Windows 8. The "My Captured Applications" folder icon is coloured red and the captured application application is not listed.

It seems to be a confirmed problem in the PickMeApp tool

The workaround for that problem would be the following steps

  1. If The "My Captured Applications" folder icon is coloured red , make sure that TAPP folder exists and contains captured applications ( .tap files)
  2. Create a new profile, Say  MyXPModeApp
  3. Import all captured applications from TAPP folder to the new profile by pressing "Import" button and navigating to the TAPP folder.
     

To solve the problem entirely you may edit settings.xml file and remove the xml tag
- <Profile MediaType="1" Name="My Captured Applications"
completely

PickMeApp will recreate My Captured Applications profile anew.
Pay attention that all .tap files in TAPP folder will be deleted.
