I've just installed PickMeApp. I cannot select any program to be captured, the estimated size of some of the programs is 0 bytes, and the first two of the central three folder icons are greyed--out. So I currently cannot perform any action whatsoever.

Indeed PickMeApp does not estimate well size of some non qualified applications.
Could you please share screen shot of the problem to understand the problem you are experiencing ? Are you referring to the non qualified applications , that cannot be captured ?
